And The Winner of Round 2 is........

Hi everyone. I'm Bob Linda's husband. I'll be writing the blog today while Linda is recovering. As most  of you may know Linda's tumor regrew and she had to have surgery yesterday. Everything went well and the surgeon was able to remove the whole tumor. This time he put chemo wafers on the tumor site to help keep it from regrowing. As most of you know Linda is very much against Chemo and Radiation treatment for cancer, but the surgeon  assured us that these wafers have a very low toxicity and were very well tolerated.
As far as I can tell she came through it with no deficits. The doctor said she may temporarily have some speech problems do to the wafers, but so far everything is normal. She said she didn't sleep last night because she wanted to concentrate on her breathing to get the anesthesia out of her system. Right now shes finally taking a nap. She's been hungry and ate about half of her breakfast and is going to the bathroom on her own. They also have an order in the ICU to get her into a regular room, probably sometime today. I'll keep you updated.
The last we talked about it she still didn't want any radiation and chemo. There is one thing that we just started a couple of weeks ago so we don't really know how effective it will be on this and its called pine cone extract. This particular extract was developed here in Tampa and will boost your immune system 9 times. Also she will be using a device that uses a pulsed magnectic field at 9.6hrtz that will help her cells utilize oxygen much better. That's the main problem with cancer. The cells don't get enough oxygen for whatever reason and revert to using glucose instead. I have a good feeling that these last two things that we're adding to the arsenal will help do the trick. And for all of you people who are skeptical and want some evidence just let me know and I'll provide all of the scientific papers and studies to make your head explode.
I send periodic text out to everyone I have a number for to let everyone know how she's doing so if you wan to be on the list just let me know.
We all know Linda's been though a lot in her life and she just keeps on going and don't think this will be any different. Linda's not going to leave this planet until she's good and ready to, so let all keep the faith.

Alive and Kicking

I know it has been a while since my last entry but I have something that I think everyone should know, as of November 30th according to the oncologist I should have been dead. I am still very much alive and kicking. So the trust we put into western medicine has again proved itself to be wrong .  We should put our trust into something that has proven itself over and over again to work. The alternative way to health is a much more trusting way to go.  I don't know how people can be so convinced that radiating their bodies is a safe method to healing ourselves. We need to change our ways of thinking and people would be on the road to pure and healthy life.

Back to Work

Today was my first day back to work. Everyone was very glad to see me and I was getting hugs from people left and right. It felt good to know I was missed. Before I got sick I didn't know that the people I worked with cared so much. I guess I was wrong. Being loved and appreciated is a great feeling. If we all start to change to be positive, energetic and caring individuals, this planet we call earth is going to be the greatest place in the entire cosmos to live. We all must start with love and forgiveness for each other and the rest will fall into place. Remember ANGER is one letter short of DANGER.

You are What Matters

I can't believe it, but many people are starting to except the fact that "they are what matters" in this society we call collectivization. I just started to realize this myself, that we are what's important not the materialistic treasures we hold on to. When we come to except this we will start to care more about each other instead of how much money we have and how many possessions we own.

Body & Spirit

I've experienced a great many different outlooks on life that I never thought I would think of. Many of the experiences are of a spiritual nature. The key to perfect health is and has always been in you. YES, You have the power to heal yourself. This may seem like a bunch of made up new age crap, but I assure you that it is not.  I have learned that health is not only physical but mental as well. (otherwise known as Body & Spirit). If  one part of the puzzle is missing you cannot see the complete picture and my friends, a complete picture has an energy component that cannot be expressed by words. The one thing I can tell you is when you feel at peace you will know. That my friends is a great feeling and a superior way to live. Be at peace and  positive energy will flow freely.

All You Need is Love

One of the most important lessons I have learned from having a brain tumor is that each and everyday should and is a blessing. We are given a great gift and in my circumstance a 2nd chance for a great life. Make the most out of this life and enjoy this great planet we live on.

Remember the simple things and the others we fall into place. Last and Most important, love and forgive each other everyday. And don't forget to balance out those checkbooks of life everyday and start the next day with a clean slate.

More Words of Wisdom

Today I stopped by my employer to check in and let them know I'm still alive and kicking. While I was there I was talking with one of my friends and she told me one of our former co workers, who was fairly young ( 30ish ), had died. I told her that she is in a better place now and more at peace. Something that I've been starting to realize is that there is nothing to fear about death. It's just the next step to a higher plane of existence. Many of us are taught at very young age to be afraid of death when in reality we need to realize that death is just another step towards enlightenment.  While we are on the planet we call earth we need to love and forgive each other and we will be a happier species.

Spiritual Healing

Today I met with the spiritual healer. He has a very unique way of clearing negative influences on your spirit and also helps you get in touch with your inner self. Many people think that taking a pill will heal everything, but that's just not the case with most people. One of the most important things I have learned here is that healing starts from the inside out.

Getting Clearer and Clearer

Today, while Bob and I were driving, I had a break-thru. As I looked at things that I always look at they seemed to be clearer and more in tune.  When I Look at people I can see their anger or whatever emotion that is is running through them at the time. I have also noticed lately how people don't seem to enjoy life, but really we should be enjoying every minute we have on this planet. I know now not to worry about the "what if's" especially when it's something you can't change.

Enlightenment of Life

Today, while I was eating my lunch at Panera Bread ( salad of course), some women at another table were talking about how people treated them so badly and negative emotions came springing out of them like a waterfall. They went on about how Walmart treated them so unfairly and that they had to fight for the right to be right by spewing negative reactions at people.

While I was sitting there reading my book, listening to people and watching what they were eating, it just came to me that only if they knew what I do now about the proper diet and mental alignment they would not have a good chance of getting cancer.

Don't Worry, Be Happy

Today I had my colon hydrotherapy. It's hard to believe all the stuff they get to come out, but enough with that. I don't want to gross anybody out.

There are many reasons why people get cancer. One of the most prominent reason is anger. Anger is very good fuel for cancer. Cancer thrives on chaos and any negative reaction will always contribute to a dys ease (yes I meant to spell it like that) where a positive one will heal. Have you ever heard, " laughter is the best medicine?" All people need to do is to balance out at the end of the day, just as would balance you checkbook. We as human beings have to learn to except things for what they are and not what we think they should be. We all need to trust our gut feelings and get back to our real selves, the ones that didn't worry about what everyone else thinks.

The Most Important Part of My Therapy

Today was our weekly group meeting. We talked about a lot of problems that bother us and as usual we all got to talk. This is a very important part of the healing process. Releasing and letting go of our negative emotions will get us back on the road to a healthy life, cancer free. Many people here seem to have issues with family members, but what I have learned is that the only way to resolve them is to handle them the way that is best for you.

I Love My Massages

Today  I want to start off by thanking my Mom and Dad and Bob's Mom And Dad for helping be able to get this far at Utopia Wellness. Their help is making a big difference in my life and and can't thank them enough.

Today I received my second lymphatic massage. These massages are great to move fluid that just doesn't want to get going, but the best part of them is that they're very relaxing. The whole key to have success with this type of therapy is to get your mind and body to work together. I'm beginning to believe that one of the most important aspects to a healthy and happy life is to be one with yourself.

Starting My Second Week

Well, here's to another week down and a new one to start. Today I was in the hyperbaric chamber. I was in there longer this time, 30 minutes. After I was done there I got my normal IV treatments.

Today we got in to see Dr. Garcia. Every Monday he goes over blood work and answers any questions we might have. He said all my levels were good except he wanted to see my thyroid level a little better. They were in the normal range, but he wanted get get them more to an optimal level. He told us an iodine supplement would take care of it so we added it to everthing else we take.

Today was the start of a new group of people to start the program. I met one of them, she was from New York. I wasn't to sure what she was here for, but I'm sure we'll find out on Wednesday at the weekly lecture. Everyone is there for a reason and the amount of time it takes to open up is the key to how fast you heal. The main message here is that we can all heal ourselves, it's just a matter of believing you can.

Last Day of First Week

Today was casual day at Utopia Wellness. All the worker bees were in street clothes not scrubs, making for a less stressful day. Today I had an appointment with a therapist at something they call Pure Health here. she was very easy to talk to, nothing like I thought it would be. She didn't attempt to get into it too much in the first session. It was was more of a getting to know you feeling. Before we left she had me listen to a relaxation CD which was pretty nice. We have off for the weekend, so I'll update everyone when I get done Monday. Thanks again everyone.

A Relaxing Massage to End the Day

Today I had my first chelation therapy. For those of you who don't know what that is I'll give you the simplified version of the way I understand it. Chelation uses a synthetic amino acid  called EDTA which binds to all those bad heavy metals that aren't supposed to be in our bodies and carries them out through your urine. It will also unblock clogged arteries. Anything that gets that bad crap out of my brain sounds good to me.

After my chelation I went to get what's called a lymphatic massage. It's kind of like a light massage but it's purpose is to get all the crap that's sitting in your lymph fluid moving so you can get rid of it. I've had other massages on some of the cruises I've been on , but never like that. It was very relaxing.

Before I go I would just like to thank everyone who has helped support me in getting this far. You all have been a great help to me and I'll never forget it.

Action Packed Day

Today was a very action packed day. When I got there I was able to hook up to the rife machine for about an hour then I had the wonderful pleasure of getting colon hydrotherapy. I had others done before so I was familiar with the procedure, but you wouldn't believe the stuff that came out, and some of it still moving.

Today was also lecture day(also known as group therapy) with Dr. Garcia. Everybody gets to talk about their feelings and issues. When he got to me the first thing that came up was xxxxxxxxxxx. and how it makes me feel. He told me that I need to start taking care of myself and how I feel and stop worrying how other people think about it.

I made one good friend I'm really in tune with. Our energies are in tune, I guess. It Just feels right when I talk to her, like she's been there my whole life, but I just haven't been able to see her.

Well my vision is starting to clear, even if it isn't to read. I can see a lot further, more than I ever thought I would. For once I am starting to see myself, the one that does matter and the one that can do anything she wants to do.

Learning More about The Treatments

Today I was in the hyperbaric chamber (which floods your body with oxygen). It felt like I was in an airplane as my ears were popping but it was very relaxing. It kind of looks like a space capsule. After I was done there i got hooked up to my IV. At least this time they only had to poke me twice today. I don't know why it was so had tying get an IV started. I usually don't have any problems, but maybe because I'm getting older, who knows?

I was also introduce to magnet therapy today. They're a lot stronger than the ones Bob and I used when we did magnet therapy. These are very strong rare earth magnets. I'm also using what's called the Rife machine. They hooked up electrodes to your cheeks and this machine that's plugged into the wall goes though different frequencies to kill viruses and other bugs that might be in me. Some of it seems a little weird, but as long as it works who cares.

My First day of Recovery

I just wanted to start off today by thanking my In-Laws for funding my first week at Utopia Wellness so i can get on the road to recovery.

Today I started on my road to recovery at Utopia Wellness Clinic.  I arrived at the office at 9:00 A.M. started to fill out the paperwork and see others coming in also. I went back to orientation and got enlightened to what was going to happen and what we were allowed to eat so the program will benefit the best.  There was a lot of resistance in the room when it came to restrictions on food.  I think we as human beings are not easily told what to do and how to do it to easily.  The biggest issue for me was no red meat which I love. Just ask any of the wait staff at Longhorn Steakhouse in Sarasota,Fl. Red meat and myself are like best friends that I thought would never part..So I guess if we go out to Longhorn it will be a vegetable plate and salad for me.Oh, No more of their good bread.  I guess it's better than the alternative I don't have to remind people of that. Well back to the orientation, many people I think were overwhelmed by all the dos, and don'ts but also many people are not so easily adapted to change. I know that was one of my issues. After we were done with orientation I went to get my IV and that consisted of  vitamins and essential minerals. When they told me that I was going to get vitamin C injections I thought the bag was going to be orange like orange juice.  No it wasn't exactly OJ injections it was Vitamin C though but a lot more beneficial. Then they took me to get my foot bath and that was a real experience, the color of the water changed from clear to an almost black which indicated liver detox. We will see what next weeks bath color is I hope it's not black! That was all that I was  scheduled for for that day and all that is left now is shopping for the right foods. On our way home we stopped at one of our natural food stores. We got some veges and fruit and essentials for the next day then we can go finish shopping tomorrow.

Finally Treatment That Won't Kill Me

Today I went to see an alternative medicine doctor (Dr. Garcia) at Utopia Wellness. He seemed very honest and not hiding anything from my husband and myself.  He said to me lets hear your  story so I started when I was 6months old just to give him the reason for my seizures. He said lets hear why you are here. So I got right into it and said I have brain cancer. The type was glioblastoma grade 4. I also told him that the oncologist wanted to do radiation and chemotherapy treatments and that she said about my life expectancy of 3-6 month with treatment and 2 years with he said there is no guarantee in life unless you are God. We all will die when it's our time, but we were not put on this planet to worry about everything and anything. The most important thing is to enjoy every minute of our life!

After weighing the options, I felt like alternative medicine was the best route to go with for this type of tumor (Glioblastoma grade 4) so I said I would like to start but would have to talk to some people first.  That night we went to see Bob's parents and told them about the alternative medicine therapy and that was the route I would like to go. The only problem was the financial aspect.  It wasn't cheap so we told them it was $2950.00 to start but it was a lot safer and cheaper then radiation and chemo. They said if that's the way I want to go they would make it work so I could start on Monday.

They're Not Going to Do This to Me

Today I went to see the Oncologist my appointment was at 2:00 and Bob and I had to wait a hour to get into the examining room. When I was waiting the people I saw coming into and out of the office were in pretty sad shape, some left so out of it that they didn't even speak. Others were hooked up to oxygen and some were even lost a limb. That convinced me right there that I wasn't, by any means going to do radiation and chemotherapy. I am not going to end up looking sicker then I should be just for maintenance, for the security that nothing will grow back when the doctor said he got it all. I finally got in to see the doctor and she went through her sales pitch that you will have 3-6 months to live if you didn't receive treatment and 2 years with treatment. That didn't seem like very good odds to me, you can't guarantee that you will live 5 minutes, I could walk out this office right now and get run over by a car and be dead. Who is she to play God. When we asked her her opinion on alternative medicine she said she didn't have any and that there was no substantial proof that it worked. Doctors are not able to give opinions about alternative medicine as they can get their license revoked and possible jail time if they do give any opinions on alternative medicine

My First Post Op Follow Up

I went to see the surgeon for my follow up visit and when Bob and I met the doctor he seemed to me to be in a rush like I was just a number. He said that the tumor was hard to diagnose being that it was a type that they don't see to often but it turned out to be cancerous. He started to leave the room and as he started to go Bob asked him the type of tumor it was, what was it called. It was like pulling teeth to get him to write it down for us. Finally he did and it was called a glioblastoma grade 4 the worst type being that it was the most aggressive one. If there is a microscopic piece left it can grow back. After the information he quickly exited the room we went to the receptionist and the doctor told her to make an appointment for the oncologist as soon as you can. It gave me the impression that he was just trying to sugar coat things, that he didn't get all the tumor out to leave it to the oncologist to finish. So I got an appointment for September 26th on Wednesday.

Got Ok to Go Home

One of the surgeons affiliated with Dr. Glasser came to my room and said that he was one of the doctors that worked with Dr. Glasser. He said that they were going to send the tumor to get analyzed and would let us know the result when we went to follow up visit with Dr. Glasser. They were going to arrange to have me go home.

Started Walking Today

Next day I was up and walking around the nurses station. The doctor saw me and was surprised to see me up and walking around already. I returned to my room to rest and he came in to see me and could not believe I was up and about the day after surgery.

Surgery Day

I was taken into surgery today.  When it was over the doctor came out and told Bob and his dad that everything went fine and he got all of the tumor out.  He also said it was towards the surface and encapsulated so it was easier to remove. The doctor said that those type of tumors are usually not cancerous and  they were going to send it out to get analyzed to be sure it was okay.

Oh No! I Can't Believe It's Happening To Me

Today was a day that would change my life forever.  I was in bed all day and wasn't really alert about what was going on.  My husband would wake me up to take my pills for my seizures but afterwards I would just go back to sleep.  That night I had a seizure and didn't wake up from it like normal.  So my husband called the ambulance and the paramedics took me to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. When I arrived at the hospital I started to come to by the time I Got to the ER I was awake.  The doctors requested to do a MRI and a CAT scan.  They found a tumor on the  left side of my brain.  It was called a Glioblastoma stage 4.  The doctors said that it was the most aggressive tumor so they sent me to Intensive Care and said they would have to operate to remove it.
